Well, now that depends on your definition of what hard is. When I think of hard work, manual labor comes to mind.
Just the other day, I had to dig up three hosta plants that had been growing in a spot for nine years. As I dug, I was dripping sweat and breathing harder. I thought now this is hard work. It took every bit of energy to get those plants out of the ground.
What did I do then? I turned around, split the roots out, and replanted them. But this time I put them in the ground around a shade tree garden. Now that was hard work! I had to dig, cut, and twist the roots to make a suitable hole to put the hosta roots into so they could thrive.
Back to the question, Is, it too hard to earn money from home. I have to say no. It is a learning curve, but all I do is sit in front of my computer and work. No manual labor required.
Hi Laura can you share with me what marketing strategies brings you the most money? How long after you started affiliating, did you start to see more money. I know everyone is different. The reasons why I’m asking is that I see lots of youtubers who talk about making $3000 a day, but then, can’t tell you what they do or what strategies they used unless you join their expensive courses. can you share your own personal strategies.
By the way, WA is the best affiliate there is
Rachel, these are some great questions and ones I get often.
When I started with wealthy affiliate the only marketing strategy are used was to follow all of the training and do exactly what Kyle suggested. I completed all the tasks and moved forward.
As I moved forward I realized the more I knew the less I knew and I had to continue growing to build an affiliate marketing business. So I was active within the community and read everything offered. I continued to learn.
As for your question, how long does it take to make money? My question back to you is what would you like to invest in your future? Do you want to put in the time and effort to make an affiliate marketing business work?
I would like to answer your question. It took 3 months of consistent hard work until I made my first dime. I am still growing today.
I started WA to challenge myself. Money was not my primary concern. Although I am loving the income.
You can make money on YouTube. It is no different than what you are doing in the effort area.
There is no easy get rich quick way.
Remember no one tells you the hard work they have put in. I am telling you because I am at times honest to my own detriment.
I hope this helps Rachael.
You were right about everything you said. Affiliate Marketing is not really complicated. One thing I learned is that you need to be hardworking and yes, disciplined. When it comes to any kind of work, there is no easy way but there is always a smart way!
Joining Wealthy Affiliate gave me all access to what knowledge and skills I need to do this type of Online Marketing Business. At first, I didn’t know anything. I didn’t even think it was possible for me to have my own website. Everything changed ever since I joined.
Like you, I started as a free member just to get the feel of what this is all about. After a few training and a quick tour of the program, I decided that it’s great for me because I am guided. There are no hidden agendas. They give direction on how to do things at my own advantage. Keep sharing great things about Wealthy Affiliate. This online business, as you said is one of the great things happening. Yes, perseverance is one of the keys!
Yes, the training does guide us step-by-step. It is work but I have found it is worth every minute I put into it. You hang in there and persevere to the end.
I wouldn’t say home-affiliate marketing is hard work; it’s smart work. The more knowledge one acquires with affiliate marketing and implements what they learn, applying themselves, they will succeed in affiliate marketing. This takes persistence, discipline, and yes, there is a learning curve. Again, it’s smart work and if one continues to pursue this, they will succeed.
I like the way you put that, “it’s smart work” and Wealthy Affiliate instructs us so we gain incredible knowledge. I never thought I would love anything as much as nursing but I do love affiliate marketing and Wealthy Affiliate.
You are right anybody can do affiliate marketing, but like anything you start and continue, it still takes determination and hard work. It is very satisfying creating your own website, coming up with a name and then talking about a subject you love. Wealthy affiliate is the place to start and teaches you all you need to know about affiliate marketing and has great tools on there.
For anybody starting their own website in affiliate marketing, what tips would you have on coming up with what to write?
Eden, that is a great question. Most people who do affiliate marketing are not writers. They learn to write. The training teaches everyone how to find things to write on and how to make your content easy to read and valuable. My biggest suggestion is to follow the teaching because Kyle has great suggestions and training on this subject.
