Do you struggle with learning how to start an online business?

CB Passive Income – Who Makes Money, You Or Patric?

Starts with an email stating you don’t have to do anything. The CB Passive Income is a passive income that brings you money remotely.

The part that really got me going was how I had to sign up and pay money to find out what this system is all about. Don’t you think a legitimate company can tell you what you are signing up for before you pay money?

In my research, it appears Patric keeps using the same product and upgrades it each time he relaunches it. It was 4.0, and now it is 5.0. The same old system with a new face.

Let’s get started. Today we will cover:

  1. About Patric Chan
  2. Claims Patric makes about CB Passive Income
  3. my recommendations
  4. red flags
  5. How I make money online

CB Passive Income

Program name: CB Passive Income

Founder: Patric Chan

Price: starts at $1 with upgraded to $144 a month. There may be more, but I was not willing to pat the $144 to find out.

Recommended: I do not recommend this product.

About Patric Chan

patric chan

Patric is a well-known author and stated guru in the internet marketing business. He is the best-selling author of WakeUp Millionaire and multiple other books.

He states he has been setting up programs like CB passive income for five years now. And he goes onto tell us a bit about himself. He wants us to know he is a real person.

I do not doubt that Patric Chan is real. We can not dispute that fact but has he developed a turnkey system that will make you money or himself? That is the real question here.

If  It Promises Quick Easy Money Then It May Be A Scam

Claims Patric Makes About CB Passive Income

Patric immediately begins with the upsells. I mean I couldn’t even listen to the video until I Paid my money $97 a month. Then as soon as I signed in, he starts again.

He makes it clear he is targeting newbies who don’t know enough about affiliate marketing to do this business on their own. And he is good and kind enough to set the system up for them.

Here is what CB Passive income is all about. You pay your money. Then you are offered three bonuses worth $2182 free.

It keeps saying free, but he also says it will cost you an additional $47 a month or $97 quarterly. After all of this, he throws in this lovely little disclaimer. So if you wanted he could just decide not to give you the bonuses.

(This bonus can be removed at ANYTIME without any prior warning!)

How The System Works

claims only have do one thing

Patric has a product he has duplicated and turn in to a turnkey system. He developed training courses that he gives way free to his subscribers. When Patric sends them the free course, he attaches a promotion of an affiliate program. If someone who receives the email buys the product he is promoting, then he makes a commission.

Patric states he is allowing you to duplicate these emails and send them to your subscribers. When a commission comes in, it will be your money.

Patric does give you a duplicated squeeze sheet to send out. A squeeze sheet is supposed to pull in leads. He tries to make you believe he is doing you a favor by setting up a website for you. Truth is you can do this anywhere.

The problem with this system is you have to come up with the leads. Let me tell you that this is the most challenging part of affiliate marketers. Not just anyone will sign up. They have to trust you and see you as an authority first.

So, how is this a do-nothing remote income if you are doing the hardest part for Patric?

Patric is using you to get leads for his free product and to send out affiliate programs. He is using you to make money for himself, but he tries to make you believe it is for you.

In my review I found many red flags that tell me to keep clear of this program.

Red Flags

  1. Free bonuses worth $2182 that he can refuse to give you at any time.
  2. Targets newbies because you will not know what he is trying to do, but he makes it look like he is doing you a favor.
  3. Requires upfront payment before he gives any information about the program.
  4. Uses his well known past reputation to convince you to join his system.
  5. Uses the term “Auto-pilot” and states he will generate an income for you, which mentions that you don’t have to do anything.
  6. You don’t have to do any work at all because he is working for you for free. But you are already paying money monthly. How is this free?
  7. He refers to trusted affiliate marketers as “cheap marketers” who make money off of him.
  8.  In the end, Patric states that if you don’t understand everything he just said, then you need to sign up right now. Why would I want to pay money for something I don’t understand.

CB Passive Income Is not a scam, but I do not recommend this program. Patric has a good idea with good information. But he is making money off of you instead of you making money for yourself.

My recommendations

Thumbs Down

CB Passive income is not a scam because Patric does provide useful information. BUT, I do not recommend it and especially not to newbies. He targets newbies because you will not know what he is doing.

The red flags in CB Passive income are a bit different than the usual scam. These red flags are more subtle than usual.

  1. Hi! This is a very interesting case. I had always seen scammers hide their identity. But in this case Patric Chan is a well-known author. He is a best-seller and international speaker. He is also the founder of the Passive Wealth Group with thousands of members. So, with all these credentials I would expect a high quality product. I’ll put the magnifying glass over CB Passive Income. Thank you very much for the warning.

    • Henry, I know what you mean. I was expecting a high-quality program when I saw Patric’s name on it. But that is not the case here. I am disappointed in him. It appears he is using CB passive income to promote his other companies, and he is using the people who sign up to bring in contacts for him. He keeps upping the level of CB passive income and re-launching it.

  3. It sounds like Patric Chan is first and foremost a businessman. Paying him to make him money is something I’m not willing to do. It’s a shame that people like this take advantage of newbies in the affiliate marketing industry because they don’t know what he is really doing.

I  recommend giving Wealthy Affiliate a try. There is no scam there and the best part is you can try it out for free.

I am going to save my money and not get caught up with CB Passive Income. Thanks for the heads-up!

  4. Hey Laura,

It’s definitely a true fact that there are a number of fraudulant affiliate marketing websites that attract the newbies. Your facts really were informative and they surprised me as the fact that Patric Chan can’t be blamed totally for his valuable information but at the same time can’t be ignored for his unfair methods in affiliate marketing.

I am also a proud member of wealthy affiliate and I had an awesome experience in affiliate marketing here so far. Even I would recommend anyone seeking information regarding affiliate marketing to wealthy affiliate.

i would love to have such honest and informative reviews from you again. Regards!

    • Very well said indeed. It was hard to write this review because of Patric’s good reputation. But when something is not right, it has to be brought out into the open.

I also love and respect the platform here at Wealthy Affiliate. I will be writing more reviews to inform the world. Thank you for stopping by. I do appreciate you.

  5. Great post here! Ut oh. An email starting off by saying that you don’t have to do anything. Not good right off the bat. Passive income is something that we all strive for as affiliates. 9.9 times out of 10 i don’t pay money to see what something’s all about. That draws red flags right away. I’m going to steer clear thanks to your post here, thank you. Wealthy Affiliate is definitely a better choice!

    • OH yes, an email that claims big money or it’s all done for you is a BIG red flag. I would steer clear of it but don’t discount Patric Chan he does have some excellent work. Yes WA is a perfect choice for the training and the support alone.

  6. Hello Laura,

Thank you very much for the warning as I was checking out his program as it seemed like a good way to make some money online. WA seems much more transparent compared to Patric.

Do you recommend going premium on WA as they have an excellent offer going that the first month is only $19?

I would love to know what you think!

    • Bryan, When I stepped into Wealthy Affiliate, the fact that it was FREE and did not require a credit card. No one hassled or harassed me to join. But I quickly saw that if I wanted to be serious about this venture, I would want to become premium. I was hungry for all of the knowledge offered on the WA platform.

The price of $19 for the first month is a 59% discount, which is an incredible deal. But it is only available and offered individually to those who sign up within the early 7 days of stepping inside.

But honestly for the support and continued training $49 a month is grave compared to the amount of money I have lost over the years trying to figure out what SEO was and how to get my site ranked on Google. I learned everything right in the WA platform. Unbelievable!

I could go on all day answering your question, but I should stop here. Thank you for asking. It is a great deal and one I think everyone serious about an online business should snatch up.

  7. Hey, Laura. Thanks for letting me know about this. Based on what you told us, I don’t think I want to know any more about “Patric”. His idea of “pay me now”, and “I’ll explain it later”, and especially “You don’t need to do anything – I’ll do it all” sound pretty scummy to me.

And thanks for the info about Wealthy Affiliate. I’ll definitely check them out.

    Later, Steve

    • Steve, You are welcome. I don’t think Patric is the person his promotion makes him out to be. Please do stay away from his business. Please do take a look at Wealthy Affiliate. It is free to just step inside. Nothing to lose to browse and start the first 10 lessons.
